This UPS seemed like a great idea, but it only lasted 2 months. I had to pay to return this to manufacture, and I m still awaiting a replacement.
This is plenty of time to get work-in-progress saved and to go through the shutdown routines on all 3 computers.Side note: If you have not used a UPS before, the weight of the unit may surprise you - as it did me. Also, with every item on and in use, I could get 16 minutes of use time from the battery in case of power failure.
I had it installed in 10 minutes. It came fully charged, so there is no wait time.
This is my first UPS unit. To test it's capacity, I not only plugged everything in the office into the unit, but turned everything on at the same time. Here's what is plugged in and powered on:2 CPU towers2 22' LCD monitors1 laptop computer2 computer speaker sets1 modem1 router1 radio/CD boombox1 external harddrive1 portable DVD player1 phone extension1 laptop cooler1 economy printer1 All-in-one printer (copy/fax/scan/printer)1 desk lampWith all those plugged in, powered on and in use, I'm only using 37% of the UPS capacity.
I purchased this unit for our home office. It seems that I could have gone with a smaller (less output) model.
Obviously, use time would go up as items are turned off. It contains a lead acid battery, so it is quite heavy. If you have any trouble lifting, you may want to have someone around when the unit arrives to help you.
I bought this battery back up about a month ago for my entertainment center.I have a 56" JVC, PS3, Pioneer Receiver, JBL Subwoofer, Cable Box and a few little odds and ends hook up and this thing runs them all like a champ. It got it's first test about a week after I got it home and hooked up power went out and didn't miss a beat.very wonderful.TV Bulbs have to cool down and living in florida with power outages and storms and what not this was a must have no brainer. This is a great product I'm only running it about 27% and about 18 minutes of run time when powers out, I bought this thing for about $124 and it was worth every penny honestly. If you have expensive electronics TV's, Computers this product is really a must have item in your home. This was my first Cyberpower Product I have used but I'm sold this product is great.
This battery back up is very nice because it allows me to see and monitor and modify the various attributes and performance of the power supply on my computer monitor as well as view its performance its own display screen.
Runs Cool. Item arrived very quickly from Amazon. Easy setup. Plenty of space for plugs. The blue power light is a bit bright so it lights up the room at night but other than that I have no complaints.
